Rancho Cordova Little League Umpires


Would you like to umpire in 2025?  Umpire candidates must speak with our Head Umpire. Please send an email to Danny Dequine Danny@rcll.org or Paul Tassinari,  Tass@rcll.org

Umpire candidates 18 and older must complete a volunteer application, complete the 3 trainings below, and complete a Live Scan Fingerprinting (see information below). To complete the volunteer application, please email our President, President@rcll.org

Youth Umpires:  If you are age 10 and up AND playing in the Major Division or are no longer playing, you are eligible to be a youth umpire for the American Division. 

Adult Umpires: Bring your passion of the strike zone from the bleachers to behind the plate!  If you are looking for alternative ways to complete your volunteer hours, volunteer now to be an American or National Division umpire. Umpires must do 5 games to receive your full volunteer deposit refund (VDR) of $100.

All adult umpires must complete a background check and all required trainings.

Youth Umpires

  1. Umpire 3 games and attend 2 training sessions, receive an RCLL umpire hat.
  2. Umpire 5 games and attend 2 training sessions, receive a collard umpire T-Shirt.
  3. Umpire 10 games and attend 2 training sessions, receive umpire face mask.
  4. Second year umpire, after 3 games and attend 1 training session, receive own umpire equipment.
  5. Third year umpire and attend 1 training session, receive umpire shoes.

 

Adult Umpires

LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING

2025 Spring Season:  ALL volunteers (managers, coaches, assistant coaches, board members, umpires) must also complete an annual Live Scan (fingerprinting).

CA Assembly Bill 506, fingerprinting will also be required: An administrator, employee, or regular volunteer of a youth service organization shall undergo a background check pursuant to Section 11105.3 of the Penal Code (which includes fingerprinting) to identify and exclude any persons with a history of child abuse. Little League International requires all leagues and districts in the United States to conduct an annual background check, including a nationwide criminal search and a search of the National Sex Offender Registry.

You MUST complete your Live Scan to be cleared to volunteer this season, there are NO EXCEPTIONS!
