Rancho Cordova Little League Managers and Coaches

1. Enroll as a Manager or Coach in our online "team sideline" system (link is on www.rcll.org)
2. After you register in our system, we will send you a link to complete the JDP background check directly online.
3. Complete the Manager/Coach Application, once complete, send this to the commission of your division.
4. All approved volunteers must wear a badge for safety, please submit a photo to us to create your badge at badgepics@rcll.org
5. CDC Concussion Training
   • Must complete the online training - https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html

6. Abuse Awareness Training
   • Must complete the online training - Please sign in to or create your account at https://usabdevelops.com/memberships/131/login and hover over the education tab. Select the Course Catalog, and it should take you to https://usabmobilecoach.com/courses. Sign in again (you will only have to do this once). From there you can take any of the courses.

7. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training

8. ALL volunteers (managers, coaches, assistant coaches, board members, umpires) must also complete an annual Live Scan (fingerprinting). This does not apply to Team Parents or Scorekeepers as they do not meet the minimum hour requirement with the players. THIS DOES NOT REPLACE THE JDP BACKGROUND CHECK WE DO ALREADY. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO. THE JDP BACKGROUND CHECK IS A LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL REQUIREMENT. THE LIVE SCAN IS A NEW CA LAW.

   CA Assembly Bill 506, fingerprinting will also be required: An administrator, employee, or regular volunteer of a youth service organization shall undergo a background check pursuant to Section 11105.3 of the Penal Code (which includes fingerprinting) to identify and exclude any persons with a history of child abuse. Little League International requires all leagues and districts in the United States to conduct an annual background check, including a nationwide criminal search and a search of the National Sex Offender Registry.

   Rancho Cordova Little League has scheduled 3 dates for a mobile Live Scan Company to come out and conduct the Live Scans. RCLL will be assuming the costs associated with the Live Scan as long as you sign up and complete the Live Scan at 1 of our 3 events scheduled. If you miss all 3 events scheduled, you will be responsible for obtaining your own Live Scan at your expense. You will need to be sure you contact us for our Live Scan document to take to a Live Scan Company.

   You MUST complete your Live Scan to be cleared to volunteer this season, there are NO EXCEPTIONS!
